When I was 12 years old, I fell in love with music in the most glamorous way one can possibly fall in love with music: Guitar Hero. Oh yes. In a month I had already cleared the game in the Expert difficulty level. The crowd went wild, and my friends said, “hey, what if you played the real thing?” Hmm. What if?
I asked my mother the same question, and, noticing my genuine interest, she bought me a $40 Valencia brand classical guitar that I still own to this day. And that’s how I became a guitar player—plus countless hours of study and practice, but who wants to read about that, am I right?
But something was missing. I’d always loved words and I’d always loved writing them, and guitar-playing didn’t give me an opportunity to do that. Enter songwriting. I began to focus my love of music into the art and craft of songwriting, studying the greats and honing my own skills as a songwriter.
As of today, I’m proud to say I’ve worked as a songwriter, as a performer, as a studio musician, and as a producer, and I intend to continue contributing as much as I can to music for the rest of my life.
Below you’ll find some of my original songs.
